This bayonet was stored in a bad place for a long time. My goal is to practice some restoration. Biggest issue is someone bobbed off the ends of the cross-guard. I think I can find a friend who can weld the appropriate parts cut off of a surplus M1905 Bayonet cross-guard on for functionality - BUT - appears there are replacement cross-guards out there - so
How does one remove the old one? Is it pinned, or is it brazed or soldered?
