Everyone who reads these words check your store bought or range pick-up Igman 223/5.56 brass before you attempt to deprime it. The flash holes are undersize for standard de-capping pins like in the RCBS and other die sets.
Me? The boys and I up at the Home just mash the case mouths with a really big hammer and chuck it in the scrap bucket (pronounced Boo-kay. That's French for bucket).

Two more small flash hole cartridges.
AMNT and PIN.
Don't know who makes it.

Never heard of Igman. May be some new foreign brass manufacturer to take advantage of shortages. Sounds frustrating like .45ACP with small primers!

Igman has been in business for decades. First for the Soviets et. al., then for the themselves in Bosnia.

I have some modern IK 7.62x54 ammo and the flash holes are normal. No issues I don't know who is AMNT and PIN but once you break a pin and bend the stem most people look for that stuff in the first cull. Hooboy am I sensitive to it.

Re: Small flash hole - Warning in 5.56 brass
Reading a bunch of material on different gun forums indicates "igman" ammunition has been manufactured since 1950 at Konjic, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Some comments give it a checkered career, but a lot of people have had good performance.
There are lots of references to small 'flash-holes' and broken de-capping pins.
One re-loader solved the problem by opening the flash-hole with a 3/32" drill.

I only reload 5.56 brass from Lake City or IMI. No problems with those and they are all already Mil-Spec and reload great... and no flash hole issues!

5.56mm Brass is plentiful; I only reload U.S. factory 5.56 brass, that I have fired as new ammo.
I was just considering Culpeper's original question.
