Not Secure ??

Post by waterman »

I keep seeing a "Not Secure" tag on this Forum every time I log on. I'm not a computer geek. Should I worry?

Are you using a bookmark or are you hand jamming the url every time?

Paste the link you are using. What browser are you using?

Don't use that.

You are using " http:// " which is the nonsecure Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Use " https:// " That is the Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure

So edit your book mark or what and however you type in the web site address.

I use the "S" version to get to the site - it does not get the ding, but when I navigate within the site, it then does show "Not secure". I think Tom Butts explained this awhile ago, and said there should be no worry.

That is interesting. I have no troubles going between posts whether in Firefox, Brave, or Edge. I try not to use Chrome because of my biases.

Everything stays in https for me. Perhaps there is something in your settings?

.com is not secure
See if this works
viewforum.php?f=4

Should have added that .org is secure but the link from the web site to the forum seems to go to .com forum address. Still sorting things out
