Well, I've decided I can retire on my stash of Krag brass.

I just saw an add (on GB) for 3 boxes of unfired Winchester brass, 60 rounds total. The seller had a "buy it now" of $300 for all three boxes. That's 60 cases for $5 each. At this rate it's becoming cheaper to shoot a Martini-Henry. I think we've reached lunacy with regard to Krag brass at this point.

I was given a box just like the one being sold last week and gave it to a buddy who needed some Krag brass, even loaded them up for him at no cost.

And I was kidding about the three bucks per case. Sheesh.

Let's see, two thousand times five is ten thousand. WoooooHooooo! WAIT! My stash is loaded ammo and not unfired brass. I can ask for ten bucks per cartridge which would be twenty thousand. I'll clean up.;)

I wonder how some folks price their stuff. Kinda like people who sell common, beat up, pewter tankards for twenty bucks when the most they should is a couple bucks per pound. Most of them have about four onces of pewter. :(

Has anyone loaded 303 brit enough times to estimate a limit? I've got 4x loads on 50 cases without seeing any evidence of problems. I have a carbine that groups slightly over an inch with 220 grain 308 Sierra RN and Varget. It's more accurate than my A3.

I got 80 rounds of remington 30 40 krag in Twin Falls, ID. The store has 80 rounds of winchester 30 40 krag left. It pays to look in small stores as the big stores are all sold out.
Hope you can find some.

$5 for 32 once fired at a small show in MN this last weekend. They're out there waiting to be found.

I called Graf & Son , MO and made them aware of this situation. I recommended that they get PriviPartizan to make the stuff as they already make other obsolete rounds that have less sales potential , and they agreed. 30/40 is listed as Graf brass on their website , just not in stock-back order. I enrolled on their notification list for when it gets in . Its a shame Americans have to buy overseas brass for an iconic rifle such as the Krag , but at least Graf listens

I contacted Prvi about a month ago and was told in no uncertain terms that they had no intentions of making 30-40 now or in the future. It was kind of disheartening that my letter was met with such a cold response too!
