Sporterized Krag - The Cabelas Report

I usually check in at the Wheeling Cabelas on my yearly escape from the Home. This time I found two Krags that came under some Gunsmith's care in the past. A Model 1896 cutdown rifle (49338) and a Model 1898 cutdown rifle (473328). The 96 had holes in the receiver for a scope and the 98 had a lyman front sight and a Redfield peep where the cut off would have been. Both would make someone a good deer gun for 700 each. Not me though. I've got plenty.
