Please share with us an explanation of how increased headspace might "cause more throat/leade wear".

Here's my "speed lock". Note there's no safety rocker. (Safety is a wing-type on the left side). (100-yard prone match target from a day when I yanked only two 9's.)

This sketch might help with terminology. ("Leade" is sometimes spelled "lede". Writing "lead" for this element can get confusing.)
