'1911Ron': Welcome to the KCA Forum.

That is a mighty nice looking Model 1898 Krag. #4882XX is one of the highest numbers reported and would be at the end of production in 1903.

That Arizona Sun is pretty hard on wood. You should send it up to KCA member, 'psteinmayer', in Michigan for storage!

I would think that with all of the humidity up there would be bad for it ;D ;D ;D

Nice rifle you have there. I should let you know that since Michigan is so very far away, I would be willing to look after your Krag and provide proper care and feeding, too. Much, much closer for your visits and you can shop at the Mall of America!

Welcome to the forum!

Controlled humidity is good for wood. Krags enjoy Michigan!
